Retrospective Planning Applications

If you have already built an extension or made alterations to a property or listed building without planning consent, you may be approached by the Planning Enforcement team. Try not to worry, we are here to help.

You may have been unaware that you needed approval. If the planning department confirm that you should have obtained an approval, the worst case scenario is you might have to take the building down or put back the property to how it was before the changes were made.

We can make an application for approval of the works which have been undertaken and try to resolve the situation with the best outcome for you.

Let's Design Architecture will help to ensure that your retrospective planning application is made within the time constraints to assist with obtaining a positive outcome of the enforcement case, if this can be achieved.

Let's Design Architecture can help you work it out

Listed Buildings

Remember that works must not be undertaken on a listed building without planning and/or listed building consent. This includes the interior of a listed building. It is always best to seek advice prior to carrying out any building works, as it is against the law to undertake works to a listed building without consent. This is to ensure the future integrity of the historic fabric of the building.
